For this class you will need blocks, a blanket and a bolster, plus a spot at the wall for the end. We start out in a warm up laying down. From there we continue on working into our hips while seated and then deeper twists in the standing poses. We end class with a pose that blends bridge pose, shoulderstand, and legs up the wall pose. Spine and Shoulders for Shoulderstand
For this class set up at the wall. You will also need a bolster, strap, and blocks.
In this sequence we start out with hip glides, external rotation, and spine movements at the wall. From there we sit up and utilize the wall to aid in twisting, warming up more in the hips and spine. From there we continue on getting the body moving and opening in standing poses. These warm ups will help you open up your breathing in all directions. With the spine and ribs moving more we try out shoulderstand at the wall. Lots of options given here, practice in a way that feels most helpful to you. This class was filmed live December 14, 2021.
Shoulder Work for Shoulderstand
For this class set up with the narrow side of you mat at the wall. We will also use a chair, bolster and blocks. For this class we start off with a reclining warm up . From there we utilize the wall in downward dog and then standing in shoulder stretches. This dynamic work helps get the shoulders moving in a greater rang of motion. From there we work deeper into twists in the standing poses. This helps free up the spine for shoulderstand. We work shoulderstand with the chair to highlight the strength of the back body. Chair Flow Part 2
For this class you will need a sturdy chair. You may also want a bolster and strap at the end of class. We start with a warm up seated in the chair. From there we work on upper back and glute strength and then put it together into purvottonasana. We continue working in a chair flow sequence. We end with an optional shoulderstand using the chair. Moving the Spine for Shoulderstand
For this class we continue to move the spine in all directions and try some new ways to enter familiar poses. For this class you will need a long resistance band and yoga blocks and a spot at the wall. This class was filmed live August 3, 2021.
Moving Your Spine in All Directions
In this class we work on moving in all different directions and maybe get into so places the sometimes get ignored. This class will leave you stretched out and possibly breathing with more ease.
You will need one long band, blocks and some wall space. Its helpful to set the narrow end of your mat up at the wall for the practice.

Yoga with Sliding Part 1
For this class you will need two blankets, two yoga blocks and possibly a chair or wall space. You will need plastic bags if you are practicing on carpet.
For this class we start our assessing our curtsy lung and then mobilize the ankles, knees, and hips with blanket work and standing poses. At the end of class we try some playful moves to encourage us to get a little bigger range of motion in the curtsy squat, sometimes play is just the missing ingredient we need for more range of motion in our bodies. At the end of class we take time for handstand and possibly full shoulderstand. This class was filmed live March 8, 2021.
Hello Hamstrings Part 2
In this class you will need wall space, blocks and possibly a chair and bolster or two blankets.
We continue the work from Part 1 to find hamstring strength and then integrate it with foot, calf and hip strength. We explore this at the wall and then transition to standing poses. Get ready for warm hips and some core activated inversions! We end class with a variation of shoulderstand that highlights the importance of the back body. This class was filmed live Feb 22, 2021.
Weighted Shoulderstand Prep
For this class you will need to small (2 lbs) hand weights or two cans of soup, yoga blocks, a strap and possibly a chair.
In this class we use the small weights to continue to explore shoulder mechanics focusing mostly on the ability to rotate. The ability to rotate both internally and externally dictates our range of motion both behind us and over head. We utilize our strong shoulders and upper back in a series of standing poses and then check in with the neck from spynx pose, our belly down backend. Mobilizing neck, shoulders and hips culminates in our chair shoulderstand at the end of the practice. This class was filmed live February 16, 2021.
Chair Yoga
For this class you will need a chair and possibly so wall space and a blanket. In this class we start seated with a spine and shoulder warm up and then continue to use the chair to give us more room to move and wiggle and twist in and out of poses. Work on your leg strength with Garudasana, eagle pose and then we finish class with shoulderstand variations, including with the help of the chain (my personal favorite!). Winter Solstice Practice
For this class you will need a spot at the wall, a sturdy chair, possibly a bolster, and two yoga blocks. Start mobilizing your hips with this new hip sequence at the wall. And light up inner thigh strength which may just be your missing link in upward facing dog. We build up to half moon, warrior III, and revolved half moon at the wall to highlight the back foot.
