Standing Poses Part 3
For this class you will need blocks, a blanket and some wall space.
We start out laying down for the warm up with leg stretches. From there we work into different lunge variations to warm up the hips and spine. We take shoulder work standing at the all and then flow through some balancing poses putting it all together. This class was filmed live July 23, 2022.
Twisting and Backbends Part 1
For this class you need blocks, a blanket, and wall space.
We start with reclining warm ups, cat cow variations for spinal work and then move to the wall for extra shoulder warm ups. We take a few rounds of thigh stretches with the option of kneeling. We then move through a flow to put it all together. This class was filmed live July 11, 2022.
Slow Stretch Class Part 2
For this class have a strap, blanket and blocks.
We start out with a slow warm up laying down, including leg stretches with the strap. We continue to warm up from hands and knees with extra attention on the spine. In standing we give love to our shoulders and then flow through some standing poses. This class was filmed live July 9, 2022.
Hip to Hips Part 2 Foam Roller Series
For this class you will need a foam roller and blocks and a little wall space to aid in balance.
We start out with the foam roller, mobilizing the spine and taking gentle movements in a chest opener. From there we work on hips and core strength. We then move to standing to keep moving our shoulders and stretch out the hip flexors again with the added bent knee. Then we work on the outer hips and put it all together in some classic standing poses. We save lots of time to rest at the end. This class was filmed live June 30, 2022.
Hip to Hips Foam Roller Series
For this class you need a foam roller and blocks.
We start out warming up laying down and work on spine and shoulder mobility. From there we work side lying on shoulder strength and then foam roll on the outer hips. This work can be intense and needful so go slow and take breaks if you need it. From there we work into standing poses and explore our strength and range of motion in these familiar shapes. Shoulders and Core Part 2 Foam Roller Series
For this class you need a foam roller and blocks and a blanket.
We start out with a chest opener and spinal work on the foam roller. From there we continue with more warm ups and then stand should shoulder work. We build up to a fun Warrior III variation and then use it in a standing pose flow. This class was filmed live June 25, 2022.
Shoulders and Core Control Foam Roller Series
For this class you need a foam roller, blanket and blocks and wall space.
We start out rolling the spine, shoulders, back muscles, shoulder, triceps, and chest muscles. This throughout work helps to create more ease and range of motion in the shoulders. From there we continued to warm up in variations on bridge pose and twisting. We then come to all fours and continue to work on rotation and core strength. From there we come to standing to solidify the shoulder mobility we have found. This class was filmed live June 20, 2022.
Shoulders and Spine Part 3 Foam Roller Series
For this class you will need a foam roller, a blanket, blocks and wall space.
We start out with an active chest opener for lasting changes and then move into more warm ups laying down. Rolling the hips helps prepare them for deeper stretching. From there we come up and work the spine in cat cows and thread the needle. In standing we continue to work the shoulders and warm up at the wall. We then flow through yoga poses to feel the opening and strength we have found. This class was filmed live June 11, 2022.
Shoulder and Spine Part 2 Foam Roller Series
For this class you will need a foam roller, wall spaced, blocks and a blanket.
We start out working on spinal segmentation, and then strengthen in a chest opener. From there we continue with reclining warm ups and roll on the hips to prep them for stretching. From there we work on shoulder strength and mobility with the foam roller at the wall. We then build into standing poses and take a long rest to recover at the end of class. Shoulder and Spine Work Foam Roller Series
For this class you will need a foam roller, two small weights, wall space, blocks and a blanket.
We start out with shoulder a spine mobility work with the foam roller. From there we continue with reclining warm ups and then use the foam roller to open up the hips. We then move to standing for more spine and shoulder work and some time using the wall. We then work on standing poses. This class was filmed live June 6, 2022.
Lower Body Reset
Feeling stiff? Come stretch out in this 25 minute dynamic sequence. We will focus on moving our spine, hips and legs in this accessible flow. All can be done seated and standing with the use of your chair.
Core with Resistance Bands
For this class you will need one long resistance band, blocks, and a blanket.
We start off laying down and then progress to standing warm ups. From there we loop the resistance band on a door knob to hold onto in chair pose and lunges. This aids in finding the core and connecting this shoulders with the pelvis. This stability serves us as we move into our flowing sequence. This class was filmed live April 25, 2022.
Anti-Rotation Work Part 3
For this class you will need blocks, a blanket, and a spot at the wall.
We start off laying down to warm up. From there we move to standing and at the wall for shoulder work. All through out class we continued our anti-rotation work for body integration and a strong core. This strength and body connection aids as we move through more challenging poses. This class was filmed live April 23, 2022.
Anti-Rotation Work Part 2
For this class you will need wall space, blocks and a blanket.
We start off laying down to warm up and work on core strength in our anti-rotation work. From there we continue our warm up standing for the shoulders. Then we try out anti-rotation work in spinal balance and side plank. This all aids in stability for the standing poses. This class was filmed live April 19, 2022.
Creating Space with Eldoas
In this class we use a blanket, blocks and some wall space.
We start out laying down to warm up. From there we stand to work with shoulders and them move to the wall to continue our shoulder work and add in Eldoas to decompress the spine. While here we work on twisting and cat cows. We continue the decompression work away from the wall. Then come and stand and notice how tall you feel. All this prep work can help the standing poses feel more spacious. We leave time for a long rest at the end. This class was filmed live April 4, 2022
Twisting into Spring
For this class you will need blocks and a blanket.
We start out with an active warm up laying down. Practice rolling from your back to your front in these open chain supta padangustasana poses. From there we continue our warm up in the shoulders while standing. Try out swimmer hovers from different positions and see how gravity can change they way moves feel. We move into deeper twists practcing revolved triangle and then work into upward dog and bow pose. This class was filmed live March 21, 2022.
Somatics and Yoga Part 1
For this class we start off in a comfortable seat for somatic work. You will need blocks and blanket and wall space for this class.
After the centering practice we move into some dynamic warm ups in hands and knees and then standing. The quieting and ground work help us to move forward with a calm center. See if you can maintain this calm as we move into standing poses and more balancing work. Longer holds and side plank help up develop strength to support a buoyant bridge pose with variations to end the practice. This class was filmed live February 28, 2022.
Shoulder Focused Practice Part 2
or this class you will need blocks and a blanket and a strap.
In this practice we start with a chest opener and then continue to warm up laying down. In standing we work more with thoracic mobility and shoulder warm ups. We take shoulder mobility work on the move in our standing poses. This class was filmed live February 26, 2022.
For the Love of Self Care
For this class we use a bolster, blocks and a blanket. We start out slow side lying over the bolster to emphasis our breathing and create length and balance in our bodies. From there we continues to slowly warm up laying down. In standing we worked with shoulder strength and range of motion, fine tuning movements and how they are initiated. From there we progressed to all fours and belly down, the change in orientation to gravity can really spice up this work. This class was filmed live February 14, 2022.
Posture Part 2
For this class you will need blocks and a blanket.
We continue our work on posture and highlight the muscles under the shoulder blades, the serratus anterior and the adductors, the inner thigh muscles as part of the subtle strength in in helping us return to a neutral posture. This class was filmed live Feb 8, 2022
