Breathing and Core Strength, Moving with Awareness

You will need blocks, wall space and a strap.

In this class we start off paying attention to our breathing. From this awareness we build the skill and strength of intra abdominal pressure. This skill helps us as we move more with intention and control throughout the warm up and into the standing poses. We use the wall again to continue with our spinal mobility work. From there we work on wide legged poses and link triangle and half moon together. This class was filmed live November 16, 2021.

Yoga with a Bolster

For this class you will need a bolster. If you dont have one you can roll up to yoga blankets together and many use masking tape to tape them together for the practice. You will also need yoga blocks and a strap.

For this practice we really slow down and focus on the breathing. The bolster offers lots of feedback all through out the practice. We start with a long reclining warm up, it can feel luxurious spending this extra time laying down and slowly unravel and open up into bigger stretches. From there we warm up the shoulders and wake up the legs in standing poses. We take a series of variations on belly down backbends leading to dhanurasana. This class was filmed live August 23, 2021.

In Appreciation of Our Bodies

Our bodies are amazing and do some much for us. Take this hour class to really tune in a appreciate and love on your body. You will need yoga blocks and a blanket.

We start out with a slow and mindful warm up laying down. We touch on the shoulders as we come to stand and then do a little extra for the hips from our seated 90/90 position. All the warm ups help prepare us for a sequences of yoga asanas that flow together. This class was filmed live May 15, 2021.

Hello Hamstrings Part 1

For this class you will need a slidable surface, so blanket if you are on a hard surface or plastic bags or paper plates if you are on carpet. You will also need blanket or bolster for sitting on, and a strap. We are going to do some moves from childs poses and I show a set up with two chairs if you prefer not to put weight on your knees in that way.

We spend a lot of time lengthening our hamstrings in yoga and in this class we practice coming into this length with control and stability. This new approach to stretching will help us to maintain the changes we are working on and help us to find strength and support more easily all throughout the practice. We explore one legged dead lifts to warrior III, triangle pose and side angle pose. This class will set you up well for going on a walk, hike or run. It was filmed live February 20, 2021.

Yoga with a Blanket for Breathing Awareness

For this class you need a blanket that is as long as you are tall. You will also need a big wall space and yoga blocks.

We continue with spinal mobility in this class using our breathing to open up more awareness and space to move. The blanket aids in bringing more clarity to our back body. We build up to dolphin pose, where we maintain awareness of the back body and breathing in this challenging pose. Dont worry, there is lots of time to rest at the end with legs up the wall! Nervous System Reset, Hips and Breathing

Taking Up Space

For this class you will need a strap, preferably that buckles, two yoga blocks or two blankets and possibly a chair. Continuing to develop your strength, now also add back in ease and a feeling of effortlessness and spaciousness into your practice. We revisit familiar poses like triangle and warrior 2, but with the awareness the strap can provide in taking up space in these poses. This class was filmed live January 2, 2021

Yoga For Breathing and Pelvic Floor

For this class you will need a strap, blanket, yoga blocks and a spot at the wall. In order for a muscle to contract it needs to be able to let go. In this class you will check in with your breathing and practice releasing and expanding on the inhale and lifting and engaging on the exhale. This work is subtle so we work in multiple positions to gain more awareness. This class will leave you relaxed and calm.
