Standing Tall Part 3
For this class you will need a spot at the wall, blocks and a blanket.
We continue our work on posture and standing tall with an emphasis in the hips. Try out lizard pose and catching the back foot for a deep hip flexor stretch. We end class will reverse table top pose and then some belly down backbends. This class was filmed live May 7, 2022.
Standing Tall Part 2
For this class you will need a chair, blocks and a blanket.
We start out in a chest opener to address posture and then continue to warm up laying down. From there we stand up to stretch the hips with the aid of a chair. From there we work on standing poses and balancing poses to utilize the length and strength we have found. This class was filmed live May 3, 2022.
Rotating From The Hips
For this class you will need blocks and a blanket.
We start off laying down and move into standing warm ups. We spend some extra time drawing the femur back into the sockets in preparation for the standing poses. This is another take on our anti-rotation work at we rotate from the hips rather than the spine. We end class with a relaxing stretch in pigeon pose before savasana.
Core with Resistance Band Part 2
For this class you will need one long resistance band, blocks and a blanket.
We start off laying down for the warm up and then move into standing core work with the resistance band. From there we move into fluid poses utilizing the stability we have found. This class was filmed live April 26, 2022.
Anti-Rotation Work Part 3
For this class you will need blocks, a blanket, and a spot at the wall.
We start off laying down to warm up. From there we move to standing and at the wall for shoulder work. All through out class we continued our anti-rotation work for body integration and a strong core. This strength and body connection aids as we move through more challenging poses. This class was filmed live April 23, 2022.
Anti-Rotation Work Part 2
For this class you will need wall space, blocks and a blanket.
We start off laying down to warm up and work on core strength in our anti-rotation work. From there we continue our warm up standing for the shoulders. Then we try out anti-rotation work in spinal balance and side plank. This all aids in stability for the standing poses. This class was filmed live April 19, 2022.
Twisting + Wall Shoulder Work
For this class you will need a blanket, blocks, and wall space.
We start out laying down for the warm up. From there we work the spine in cat cows and then try a dynamic take on pigeon pose to get deeper into the hips. From there we warm up the shoulders at the all. Then we try out some challenging flows with standing poses. This class was filmed live April 16, 2022.
Pigeon Pose Part 3
For this class you will need a bolster, blocks and a blanket.
We start ofd with a reclining work. From there we work deeper into the hips in standing pigeon, lizard pose and then active pigeon pose. This class was filmed live April 2, 2022.
Pigeon Pose Work Part 2
For this class you will need blocks, a blanket, a strap and a bolster.
We start off with legs up the wall and our leg stretches at the wall. From there we continue to wam up the body while lying down. Then we work towards standing warm ups for the hips and shoulders. We work on twisting in the standing poses and then try out deeper hip work in pigeon pose over the bolster. This class was filmed live March 29, 2022.
Hip and Shoulder Work for Seated Gomukasana
For this class you will need a bolster and strap and blocks.
We start our in childs pose and warm up the spine with cat cows. From there we switch to relining for our other warm ups. In standing we continue our shoulder work and build into lunges and more rotational work. Then we come and take seated gomukasana with the help of a strap. This class was filmed live March 19, 2022.
Shoulder Work Continued
You will need a strap and blocks in this class.
We start out with reclining warm ups and leg stretches with the strap. From there we work into some deeper hip stretches from seated and then internal rotation work for the shoulders. This all helps us as we build up to gomukasana arms and the standing poses and bound side angle pose. This class was filmed live March 15, 2022.
Resistance Bands Continued
For this class you will need a long resistance band, blocks and a blanket.
We start off slow, laying down for the warm up. From there we build up to kneeling lunges to work deeper into the hips. We use the resistance bands for a more thorough warm up of the shoulders. All of this helps aid the rest of the standing poses. This class was filmed live March 12, 2022.
Resistance Bands to Help Find Strength
For this class you will need a resistance band, blocks and a blanket.
We start out laying down for our warm up. We use the resistance band for new feedback in familiar poses. From there we stand up and continue to use the resistance band to warm up and find our core strength, side body length, and ability to stand tall. This all aids in the standing poses. Somatics and Yoga Part 2
We start the class off again with some gentle somatic movements. You will need blocks and a blanket for class.
From there we take some reclining warm ups. After we work with standing warm ups and move though a series of side plank variations. This helps build strength for the standing poses where we take some dynamically, moving in and out and then some longer holds. This class was filmed live March 1, 2022.
Shoulder Focused Practice Part 2
or this class you will need blocks and a blanket and a strap.
In this practice we start with a chest opener and then continue to warm up laying down. In standing we work more with thoracic mobility and shoulder warm ups. We take shoulder mobility work on the move in our standing poses. This class was filmed live February 26, 2022.
Shoulder Focused Practice
For this class have a wall space, blocks, a blanket, and a strap.
We start out will a slow warm up and leg stretches using the strap. From there we spent more time warming up the shoulders in standing. We also worked on hopping backwards to get deeper into our hips. All the warm ups lead into a series standing poses where we incorporate balance, shoulder work and grace in moving between poses. This class was filmed live February 22, 2022.
Shoulder Mobility for Dolphin Pose
For this class we use a bolster, blocks, a chair and a blanket.
We start out in child's pose and work on spinal mobility to open up this class. From there we fin hip strength work in side lying to set up the foundations for standing tall. We spend extra time working on shoulder warm ups and mobility and build into weigh baring in dolphin pose. All of this work will help unwind tension and slouchy posture from the week! This class was filmed live February 19, 2022.
Slow Down and Stretch out
For this class you need a bolster, blanket, and blocks. We start out side lying over the bolster to work on breathing and open up the side body. From there we continue with reclining warm ups. In standing we work more with shoulder strength and mobility and continue this work in plank and belly down 'snow angel' arms. From there we in the opposite orientation to gravity, in reverse table top pose. This strength supports us in standing poses. This class was filmed live February 15, 2022.
