Alignment based yoga.
Classes are athletic and challenging with a range of modifications to accommodate all levels. Amelia teaches diverse classes influenced by the teaching style of BKS Iyengar, emphasizing the balance of strength and flexibility. Some poses (asana) are done individually and sustained while others are linked together to explore agility and body awareness. She incorporates some study of specific breath work (pranayama) as well.
Ready to come stretch out, show off your baby, and hang out with other mamas?
Mom and baby yoga is every Monday in May, 2019, 10-11:15am. Its great for mamas 4 weeks after a vaginal birth and 6 weeks after a cesarian birth. Pre-crawling babies are easiest, but if you feel like we can make it work then you are more than welcome to bring your more mobile baby. There is plenty of time for feeding and diaper changing breaks. We will work on stretching out your back and shoulders and start to develop strength slowly and safely.
Prenatal Yoga is a great way to stretch out, take care of your body, spend time connecting with baby, and meet other moms to be. Class is on Tuesdays 7:15-8:30pm at the Park Blvd Yoga Center.
We have mats to borrow, bring water if you would like to have it with you.
This series is for the four Tuesdays in May 2019 and cannot be used for future classes (except in special circumstances).
